Preparation Guidelines for the YT27 Rock Drill:Discover the Advantages of a Pneumatic Rock Drill:
2. Conduct a thorough examination of the roof near the working area. This involves checking for any unstable or loose rocks on the roof and second gang close to the working face, and addressing them promptly for safety.
3. Ensure the working surface around the flat shell hole is prepped and leveled in advance. This precautionary step helps prevent any slippage or displacement during the rock drilling process.
4. Adhering to wet rock drilling is crucial; always avoid drilling dry eyes. Begin operations by activating the water first, followed by the air. Upon completion, reverse the sequence by first turning off the air, then the water. Start drilling at a reduced speed, gradually increasing to full speed as you reach a certain depth.
5. For safety reasons, drill operators should refrain from wearing gloves during drilling activities.
6. When utilizing the air leg for hole drilling, be mindful of your posture and positioning. It's vital not to use your body weight to apply pressure or stand directly in front of the rock drill while working with the brazing rod to avoid potential injuries from a broken rod.
7. Any unusual sounds or irregular water discharge during drilling should prompt an immediate halt. Investigate and resolve the issue before resuming to ensure seamless operations.
8. During the withdrawal of the rock drill or replacement of the brazing rod, allow the rock drill to operate at a slow pace. Maintain vigilance regarding the location of the rock drill braze.
