Prior to Harnessing the Power of the Rock Drill:
1. Ensure every component, including the robust rock drill, sturdy bracket, or versatile rock drill cart, is in pristine condition and adequately lubricated. Verify that wind and water pathways are unobstructed and that all connection joints are securely fastened for optimal performance.
2. Before initiating any drilling activity, conduct a thorough inspection of the roof near the working face to identify and rectify any live or loose rocks, ensuring a safe operational environment.
3. Guarantee that the working surface is meticulously leveled before drilling to prevent any hazardous slippage or displacement during operation.
4. Always commit to wet drilling techniques by utilizing water. Start the operation with water followed by wind, and reverse this sequence when ceasing operation. Begin with a gentle low speed, seamlessly transitioning to full speed as the desired depth is achieved.
5. For safety, operators must refrain from wearing gloves while engaging with the machinery.
6. Attention to detail in standing posture and position is crucial when employing the air leg. Refrain from using your body to apply pressure and avoid positioning yourself directly in front of the rock drill to minimize the risk of injury from broken brazing rods.
7. Should any abnormal noises or unexpected water discharge occur, it is imperative to halt the machine immediately, conduct a comprehensive inspection, and address the issue before resuming operation.
8. Exercise caution when withdrawing the rock drill or replacing the brazing rod by operating the drill at a slow pace, remaining continuously aware of the brazing rod's position to ensure precision and safety.
