YT27 Rock Drills: Essential Pre-Use GuidelinesUnderstanding the Pneumatic Rock Drill: A pneumatic rock drill is an advanced tool designed for high-efficiency drilling in mining operations. Operated using compressed air, it ensures precision and speed, revolutionizing the way drilling tasks are accomplished. Our YT27 model stands out with its robust performance and reliability, making it a preferred choice in rugged mining environments.
2. Conduct a thorough inspection of the working face's roof by tapping the area to identify any loose or potentially dangerous rocks. Address any loose rocks and ensure the safety of the working environment in the vicinity of the second gang.
3. Prior to commencing rock drilling, ensure that the flat shell hole location is pre-flattened. This precautionary measure is vital to prevent any slippage or displacement of the shell hole during the drilling process.
4. Under no circumstances should dry eyes be drilled. It is imperative to maintain wet rock drilling practices. Always initiate the water flow before activating the wind, and reverse the order when stopping. Begin at a low speed to initiate the hole, then transition to full speed as the drill reaches a certain depth, ensuring efficiency and safety.
5. For safety reasons, drillers must refrain from wearing gloves during drilling operations.
6. When operating with the air leg for hole drilling, maintain a careful stance without relying on bodily pressure. It is crucial not to position oneself in front of the rock drill while it is operational with the work brazing rod, to mitigate the risk of injury from potential breakage.
7. Should abnormal sounds or irregular water discharge occur during drilling, immediately halt operations. Conduct an inspection to diagnose and resolve the issue before resuming the drilling task.
8. During the withdrawal of the rock drill or when replacing the brazing rod, operate the rock drill at a slow pace. Pay close attention to the positioning of the rock drill braze to ensure smooth and safe transitions.
