YT27 rock drills before use: Guidelines for Optimal Performance and SafetyWhat is a pneumatic rock drill? Discover the Power and Efficiency Behind Pneumatic Rock Drilling Technology
2. Ensure worksite safety by tapping the roof near the working face to detect and address any live or loose rocks on the roof or second gang. Conduct necessary treatments to secure the area.
3. Prepare for precision by flattening the working surface at the flat shell hole location in advance. This pre-drilling step is crucial to prevent slippage or displacement during rock drilling operations.
4. Always adhere to safe drilling practices: it is strictly forbidden to drill dry. Insist on wet rock drilling by first activating the water supply, followed by the air. Conversely, upon stopping, turn off the air before the water. Begin with low-speed operation, transitioning to full speed only after reaching a specified depth.
5. For safety reasons, operators must refrain from wearing gloves during the drilling process to maintain optimal control and prevent accidents.
6. When utilizing the air leg for drilling, maintain a cautious stance and position. Never rely on bodily pressure and avoid standing directly in front of the rock drill while it operates to prevent potential injuries from broken brazing rods.
7. Upon detecting any abnormal sounds or irregular water discharge during rock drilling, immediately halt operations to inspect the equipment. Identify and resolve the issue before resuming activities to ensure safety and equipment longevity.
8. When retracting the rock drill or replacing the brazing rod, operate the rock drill at a slow speed. Carefully monitor the positioning of the brazing rod to ensure safe and efficient handling.
