Pre-Drilling Preparation Guidelines:
1. Confirm the integrity and proper lubrication of all components, including the rock drill, its bracket or the rock drill cart. Ensure seamless flow in wind and water pathways and secure all connection joints for optimal performance.
2. Conduct a thorough inspection of the roof near the working face to detect and rectify any live or loose rock hazards prior to commencing operations.
3. Guarantee that the working surface is leveled to prevent any slippage or displacement during the drilling process.
4. Always employ water-assisted drilling techniques. Initiate the process with water, followed by wind, and reverse this sequence when halting operations. Begin at a low speed, transitioning to full speed only after achieving a certain drilling depth to ensure safety and efficiency.
5. Drillers must abstain from wearing gloves during machine operation to maintain safety standards.
6. Maintain a vigilant stance and posture when deploying the air leg. Avoid using body weight for pressurization and refrain from positioning yourself in front of the rock drill to mitigate injury risks from broken brazing rods.
7. Should you encounter any abnormal sounds or unexpected water discharge, cease operations immediately to investigate and resolve the issue before proceeding.
8. Exercise caution when retracting the rock drill or substituting the brazing rod. Operate at a reduced speed and remain aware of the brazing rod's positioning to ensure safe handling.
