YT27 rock drills before use:What is a pneumatic rock drill?
2. Conduct a thorough inspection of the roof near the working face. This involves detecting any live rocks or loose formations on the roof and second gang near the working area. Promptly address and rectify these issues to maintain a safe and stable environment.
3. Ensure the working surface of the flat shell hole location is meticulously prepared and leveled in advance, thereby facilitating stable rock drilling. This proactive measure helps in preventing any unwarranted slippage or displacement of the shell hole during operations.
4. Adhere strictly to the practice of wet rock drilling by avoiding dry drilling. Activate the water supply before initiating airflow when operating, and cease airflow before stopping the water supply when halting drilling. Begin with a low speed when opening the hole and transition to full speed only upon reaching a certain depth to ensure efficient performance.
5. For safety reasons, drillers must refrain from wearing gloves while conducting drilling operations.
6. When drilling holes using the air leg, be vigilant about maintaining a safe standing posture and position. Avoid applying pressure with your body or standing in front of the rock drill while using the work brazing rod to prevent potential injuries from any broken brazing.
7. In the event of detecting abnormal sounds or water discharge during rock drilling, promptly halt the machine for a thorough inspection. Identify and rectify the underlying causes before resuming drilling to maintain safety and efficiency.
8. During the withdrawal of the rock drill or when replacing the brazing rod, operate the rock drill at a slow pace. Maintain close attention to the position of the rock drill braze to ensure safe and precise handling.
