Before Using the Rock Drill:
1. Thoroughly verify that each component, encompassing the rock drill, bracket, or rock drill cart, remains intact and is expertly lubricated. Confirm the pathways for wind and water are unobstructed, and ensure all connection joints are firmly secured.
2. Conduct a meticulous inspection of the roof near the working face to identify any live or loose rocks, addressing potential hazards prior to commencing operations.
3. Guarantee the working surface is impeccably flat before initiating drilling to prevent any risk of slippage or displacement.
4. Always employ water during the drilling process to eliminate the risks associated with dry drilling. Initiate with water followed by wind when operational, and reverse this sequence upon cessation. Begin at a reduced speed, advancing to full speed once an optimal depth is achieved.
5. Drillers are advised to refrain from wearing gloves to ensure maximum safety and control during operation.
6. Maintain an attentive stance and positioning when engaging the air leg. Avoid using body pressure and do not stand directly in front of the rock drill, as this can lead to injuries from any potential brazing rod breakages.
7. In the event of any unusual sounds or water discharge, immediately halt the machine. Conduct a thorough inspection and rectify the issue before resuming operation.
8. When retracting the rock drill or substituting the brazing rod, proceed with caution, operating the drill at a slower pace, and remain vigilant of the brazing rod's positioning.
