YT27 rock drills before use:What is a pneumatic rock drill?
2. Conduct a thorough inspection of the roof close to the working face by tapping to identify any live or loose rocks, making necessary reinforcements or treatments to ensure safety.
3. Ensure the surface around the flat shell hole location is pre-flattened to avoid any slippage or displacement, establishing a secure base for rock drilling operations.
4. Strictly adhere to wet rock drilling practices by turning on the water supply before the air, ensuring no dry eyes during drilling. Operate initially at low speeds, progressively increasing to full speed only after reaching a certain depth for optimal performance.
5. Operators must refrain from wearing gloves during drilling to maintain safety and precision.
6. When utilizing the air leg for drilling, ensure proper standing posture and positioning. Avoid pressurizing with the body and never stand in front of the rock drill beneath the brazing rod to prevent potential injuries.
7. If you detect any unusual sounds or irregular water discharge during drilling, halt operations immediately for inspection. Diagnose and resolve the issue before resuming to ensure smooth, uninterrupted drilling.
8. When removing the rock drill or replacing the brazing rod, allow the rock drill to run slowly. Pay close attention to the positioning of the rock drill braze to ensure safety and precision.
