2. Conduct a thorough inspection of the ceiling near the operational zone for any loose or precarious rocks. Address and resolve these concerns efficiently before commencing operations.
3. Affirm the flatness of the working surface to prevent any potential slippage or misalignment during the drilling process.
4. Make it a rule to drill only with water to evade dry drilling. Initiate operations with water, then transition to air, reversing this sequence when halting. Start at a low velocity and shift to full speed upon reaching a specific depth.
5. It is crucial that operators refrain from wearing gloves while maneuvering the equipment.
6. Maintain vigilant awareness of your standing posture and position while employing the air leg. Refrain from using your body for additional pressure and avoid standing directly in front of the rock drill, thus reducing the risk of injury from broken brazing rods.
