Pre-Operational Preparations for the Rock Drill:
1. Prior to operation, meticulously inspect every component of the rock drill, including the bracket or drill cart. Ensure all parts are intact and optimally lubricated. Verify that both wind and water channels are unobstructed and all connection joints are securely fastened.
2. Conduct a thorough inspection of the roof near the operational area to identify any live or loose rock formations. Address and rectify these issues before commencing drilling activities.
3. Confirm that the drilling surface is uniformly flat to prevent any unwanted slippage or displacement during operation.
4. Always initiate drilling with water to prevent dry drilling hazards. Begin the operation by starting with water, then introduce wind. When ceasing operations, reverse this sequence. Initially operate at a low speed, transitioning to full speed as you reach a certain drilling depth.
5. Strictly prohibit the use of gloves by drill operators during operation to ensure safety.
6. Maintain correct posture and positioning when utilizing the air leg. Refrain from applying pressure with your body and avoid standing directly in front of the rock drill to prevent possible injuries from broken brazing rods.
7. Should you encounter abnormal sounds or unexpected water discharge, immediately halt the machinery. Conduct a thorough inspection and resolve the issue before resuming operations.
8. If withdrawing the rock drill or replacing the brazing rod, perform these actions gradually and maintain awareness of the brazing rod's position to ensure safe handling.
