Before Using the Rock Drill:
1. Conduct a thorough inspection to confirm that all components, including the rock drill, bracket, or rock drill cart, are fully intact and properly lubricated. Ensure that wind and water pathways are free-flowing and that all connection joints are secure and airtight.
2. Carefully examine the roof near the working face for any loose or potentially dangerous live rocks, and take necessary precautions to rectify any issues before commencing operations.
3. Verify that the working surface is completely flat and stable to effectively prevent any slippage or displacement while drilling.
4. To prevent dry drilling, it is essential to always use water during drilling. Begin operations with water, then initiate wind, adhering to the reverse order when stopping. Start drilling at a low speed, progressing to full speed only after achieving an adequate depth.
5. Operators must refrain from wearing gloves while operating the drill to ensure safety and optimal control.
6. Maintain an attentive and safe standing posture when using the air leg. Avoid applying pressure with your body and never stand in front of the rock drill to prevent injuries from potential breakage of the brazing rods.
7. If any abnormal sounds or unexpected water discharge occur, immediately cease operation, conduct an inspection, and address the identified issues before resuming activities.
8. During the process of withdrawing the rock drill or replacing the brazing rod, operate the drill with caution at a slow pace, remaining vigilant about the position of the brazing rod to ensure safety and accuracy.
