Before Using the Rock Drill:
1. Prior to operation, guarantee all components - including the rock drill, its bracket, or the drill cart - are completely intact and adequately lubricated. Verify that wind and water pathways function seamlessly, and that connection joints are securely fastened.
2. Conduct a thorough inspection of the roof near the working face for any loose or unsecured rocks, and address these potential hazards promptly before commencing work.
3. Assure the working surface is perfectly flat prior to drilling to prevent any slippage or displacement during operation.
4. Always engage in wet drilling by using water from the start to avoid dry operations. Initiate with water flow, followed by wind, and reverse the process when stopping. Begin at a low speed, advancing to full speed only once an adequate depth is achieved.
5. Operators should refrain from wearing gloves when handling the drill to maintain optimal control and safety.
6. Be vigilant about your standing posture and position while utilizing the air leg. Avoid applying body pressure, and ensure your stance is not directly in front of the rock drill to prevent injuries from broken brazing rods.
7. Should there be any unusual noises or water discharges, immediately cease operation, conduct an inspection, and rectify the issue before continuing.
8. When retracting the rock drill or substituting the brazing rod, proceed slowly and be conscious of the brazing rod's position.
