YT27 rock drills before use:What is a pneumatic rock drill? A pneumatic rock drill is an advanced and efficient tool powered by compressed air, designed to drill through tough rock surfaces effortlessly. Ideal for mining operations, it brings both power and precision to your projects.
2. Conduct a thorough inspection of the roof near the working face. Ensure no live or loose rocks are present on the roof and second gang. Should any be detected, undertake necessary measures to address them effectively.
3. Prepare the working surface by flattening the shell hole location ahead of time. This step is crucial in preventing any slippage or displacement during the rock drilling process.
4. Drilling dry eyes is strictly prohibited. Commit to wet rock drilling by activating the water flow before the wind during operation, and turning off the wind before the water when stopping. Begin drilling at a low speed, increasing to full speed only after reaching a certain depth.
5. Operators must refrain from wearing gloves while drilling to ensure maximum safety and control.
6. When employing an air leg for drilling, mind your stance and positioning. Avoid applying body pressure and never stand directly in front of the rock drill or the working brazing rod to prevent potential injuries from broken brazing.
7. Should you notice any abnormal sounds or erratic water discharge during drilling, immediately cease operations. Investigate the cause, rectify the issue, and only then resume drilling.
8. When retracting the rock drill or changing the brazing rod, allow the rock drill to operate slowly, carefully monitoring the position of the rock drill braze to ensure safe and accurate adjustments.
