Preparation Steps Before Operating the Rock Drill:
1. Carefully ensure that all components, including the durable rock drill, sturdy bracket, or the reliable rock drill cart, are completely intact and well-lubricated. Verify that all wind and water pathways are smoothly unblocked and all connection joints are securely fastened.
2. Diligently inspect the ceiling near the operational face for any live or loose rocks. Address and rectify these potential hazards before commencing any work.
3. Make certain that the working surface is completely flat before initiating drilling activities to prevent any slippage or movement.
4. It's crucial to drill with water to prevent dry drilling. Start operations with water, followed by wind, and reverse this order when halting operations. Begin at a gentle pace and transition to full speed as you reach a deeper depth.
5. Safety first: operators must not wear gloves while handling the drill.
6. Maintain the correct posture and positioning while using the air leg; avoid using your body for pressurization. Stand clear of the front of the rock drill to avert any injury risks from broken brazing rods.
7. Should any unusual sounds or unexpected water discharge occur, immediately halt the machine, conduct a thorough inspection, and rectify any issues before resuming operations.
8. Exercise caution when withdrawing the rock drill or changing the brazing rod. Operate slowly, maintaining awareness of the brazing rod's position to ensure safety.
