Before Using the YT29A Rock Drill:
1. Prior to operation, ensure the YT29A Rock Drill and its components, including the bracket or cart, are in pristine condition. Confirm all parts are thoroughly lubricated, airflow and water pathways are clear, and connection joints are tightly secured.
2. Conduct a thorough inspection of the roof near the working face. Identify and address any loose or live rocks to ensure a safe working environment before initiating the drilling process.
3. Prepare the working surface meticulously to ensure it is flat and even, minimizing any risk of slippage or equipment displacement during drilling operations.
4. Ensure optimal drilling conditions by always employing water lubrication to prevent dry drilling. Initiate operation with water, transitioning to wind, and follow the reverse when halting. Begin at a reduced speed, progressing to full speed once adequate depth is reached.
5. For safety reasons, drillers are advised to operate without gloves when handling the equipment.
6. Maintain a proper standing posture when using the air leg, avoiding the use of body weight to apply pressure. Avoid standing in front of the rock drill to prevent potential injuries from broken brazing rods.
7. Should there be any unusual sounds or water discharge, immediately cease operation to inspect and resolve the issue prior to continuing.
8. When retracting the rock drill or replacing the brazing rod, proceed with caution. Operate the drill at a slow pace, taking care to be aware of the brazing rod's position to ensure safety.
