2. Conduct a thorough inspection of the roof near the working face to identify and rectify any live or loose rocks, ensuring optimal safety before commencing operations.
3. Verify that the working surface is perfectly flat to prevent any slippage or displacement during drilling activities.
4. Prioritize safety by always using water during drilling to prevent dangerous dry drilling. Initiate with water, follow with wind during operation, and reverse this sequence when ceasing. Start at a gentle pace, and once a sufficient depth is attained, transition to full speed.
5. Operators should refrain from wearing gloves to maintain optimal control and safety.
6. Maintain a proper stance and positioning when utilizing the air leg. Avoid using your body to apply pressure and never stand directly in front of the rock drill to safeguard against injuries from malfunctioning brazing rods.
