Before Using the Rock Drill:
1. Ensure that every component, including the rock drill, bracket, and rock drill cart, is in perfect condition and thoroughly lubricated. Verify the seamless flow of wind and water, along with the secure fastening of all connection points.
2. Conduct a thorough inspection of the roof near the work area for any unstable or loose rocks, addressing any concerns before commencing operations.
3. It is crucial to confirm that the working surface is completely level before drilling begins, to prevent any slippage or displacement during the process.
4. Always commence drilling with water to prevent the hazards of dry drilling. Initiate the operation with water, followed by wind, and reverse the sequence when halting the drill. Start at a low speed, transitioning to full speed as a certain depth is achieved.
5. Operators must refrain from wearing gloves while handling the drill to ensure optimal safety and control.
6. Maintain proper standing posture and position when utilizing the air leg. Refrain from applying pressure with your body and avoid positioning yourself directly in front of the drill to prevent injuries from broken brazing rods.
7. Should any abnormal noises or water discharges arise, stop the machinery immediately. Conduct a thorough inspection and resolve any issues before resuming operations.
8. When retracting the rock drill or replacing the brazing rod, proceed with caution, operating the drill slowly, and be keenly aware of the brazing rod's position to ensure safety.
