2. Conduct a careful inspection of the roof near the working area to identify and remedy any loose or potentially hazardous rocks before commencing drilling activities.
3. Verify that the working surface is perfectly level prior to drilling. This precaution helps prevent any unwanted slippage or displacement during operation.
4. Always incorporate water into your drilling process to prevent the risks associated with dry drilling. Initiate the operation with water followed by wind, and reverse this order when ceasing operations. Begin at a modest speed, transitioning to full speed once a satisfactory depth is reached.
5. It is imperative for drillers to avoid wearing gloves during operation to ensure maximum tactile control and safety.
6. Adopt a mindful stance and position when utilizing the air leg. Refrain from applying pressure with your body and avoid positioning yourself directly in front of the rock drill to mitigate the risk of injury from potential brazing rod breakage.
