Introduction to YT27 Rock Drills: Essential Preparations Before UseWhat is a Pneumatic Rock Drill?
2. Conduct a thorough inspection of the roof near the working face by knocking to detect any live or loose rocks that may pose a hazard. Perform all necessary treatments to ensure safety and stability.
3. For optimal drilling success, the working surface of the flat shell hole should be leveled in advance to prevent any slippage or displacement during operation.
4. Embrace the practice of wet rock drilling to ensure safety and efficiency. Absolutely avoid dry drilling. Begin by turning on the water, followed by the wind. When concluding, turn off the wind first, then the water. Start the drilling process at a low speed and only accelerate to full speed once a desirable depth is attained.
5. A critical safety precaution: drillers must refrain from wearing gloves during the drilling process.
6. When employing the air leg for hole drilling, maintain awareness of your posture and position. Refrain from using your body to pressurize, and never position yourself in front of the rock drill under the working brazing rod to avert injury from potential breakage.
7. Should you detect any abnormal sounds or irregular water discharge during the drilling operation, immediately halt the machine. Conduct an inspection to diagnose and rectify the issue before resuming work.
8. When disengaging the rock drill or replacing the brazing rod, operate the rock drill slowly and remain vigilant about the positioning of the rock drill braze.
