Before Using the YT29A Rock Drill:
1. Prior to starting your operation, ensure all components, such as the rock drill, supporting bracket, or rock drill cart, are in excellent condition and thoroughly lubricated. Confirm that wind and water pathways are unobstructed and that connection joints are firmly secured.
2. Conduct a meticulous inspection of the roof near your working area to identify and correct any live or loose rocks. Address these potential hazards to ensure safety before commencement.
3. Make certain that your work surface is leveled and stable to prevent any slippage or unwanted displacement during drilling operations.
4. It is imperative to commence drilling with water to prevent dry drilling. Initiate the operation with water first, followed by wind, and employ the reverse order when ceasing activity. Begin the drilling at a low speed and transition to full speed once you reach a significant depth.
5. For safety, drill operators should refrain from wearing gloves while operating the machinery.
6. Maintain a vigilant focus on your stance and positioning while utilizing the air leg. Avoid using your body for pressurization and ensure not to stand directly in front of the rock drill to prevent potential injuries from broken brazing rods.
7. Should any abnormal sounds or unexpected water discharge occur, immediately halt the machine, carry out a thorough inspection, and rectify the issue before resuming operations.
8. When withdrawing the rock drill or exchanging the brazing rod, proceed with the operation at a reduced speed and consistently monitor the position of the brazing rod to ensure a seamless and safe transition.
