1. Ensure that every component, including the rock drill, bracket, or drill cart, is in pristine condition and efficiently lubricated. Confirm seamless wind and water pathways and secure all connection joints for optimal performance.
2. Thoroughly inspect the roof near the working area for any loose or unstable rocks, and address these safety concerns diligently before commencing operations.
3. Confirm that the working surface is completely level before starting the drilling process to prevent any risk of slippage or misalignment.
4. It's crucial to drill with water to prevent dry drilling. Initiate the process with water followed by wind, reversing this sequence when halting. Start at a low speed and transition to full speed once an adequate depth is achieved.
5. For safety reasons, operators must refrain from wearing gloves during the operation of the rock drill.
6. Maintain correct posture and positioning while using the air leg. Avoid applying body pressure and never stand in front of the rock drill, as this could lead to injuries from broken brazing rods.
7. If you notice any unusual sounds or unexpected water discharge, immediately halt the machine. Conduct a thorough inspection and address the issue before resuming operations.
