Getting Acquainted with YT27 Rock Drills: Pre-Use GuidelinesUnderstanding Pneumatic Rock Drills
2, Conduct a thorough assessment of the roof near the working face. This involves checking for any live or loose rocks on the roof and second gang and undertaking necessary safety measures to secure the area.
3, Before embarking on rock drilling, the flat shell hole location must be pre-flattened to prevent any slippage or unwanted displacement.
4. Adherence to wet rock drilling is a must; drilling dry eyes is strictly prohibited. Initiate operations by turning on the water first, followed by the wind. Upon halting, reverse the process by turning off the wind before the water. Start drilling at a low speed and escalate to full speed once a satisfactory depth is achieved.
5, Drill operators must refrain from wearing gloves during the drilling process to ensure optimal safety and control.
6, When utilizing an air leg for hole drilling, maintain an appropriate standing posture and positioning. Avoid exerting pressure with your body or standing directly in front of the rock drill under the working brazing rod to prevent potential injuries.
7, Upon detecting any unusual noise or water discharge during rock drilling, promptly cease operation for an inspection. Determine the cause, resolve the issue, and only when assured of safety, resume drilling.
8, When retracting the rock drill or exchanging the brazing rod, allow the rock drill to operate at a reduced speed, while vigilantly monitoring the position of the rock drill braze.
